Kernersville, N.C. (November 7, 2011) – The Kevin Harvick Foundation is gearing up for the Second Annual Happy’s Classic golf tournament and Happy’s Hour party. This Wednesday, November 9, golfers of all skill levels will roll up their sleeves and play in the unique, charity golf tournament. Located at The Links at RiverLakes Ranch Golf Club in Bakersfield, Calif., this event will help raise funds to benefit and further the mission of the Kevin Harvick Foundation.
Not to be confused with your run of the mill tournament, those who play might find themselves being named “King of the Throne” in the longest drive competition, taking their chances on holes like “Pinball Putt” and “Back to the Beach” or even teeing off of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Kevin Harvick’s drive. While not everyone can win, one thing is guaranteed: those who participate are destined to have a good time.
“I’m really looking forward to hitting the golf course this Wednesday. We decided to put a twist on things and I think everyone will have a lot of fun while supporting the Kevin Harvick Foundation,” said Kevin Harvick Foundation co-founder Kevin Harvick.
In addition to the golfing action, the winner of The Kevin Harvick Collegiate Scholarship will be announced at the tournament. The individual will receive a one-year full scholarship to California State University at Bakersfield.
The fun doesn’t stop with the golf tournament. Tickets are still available for Happy’s Hour presented by Advanced Distribution and Blackhole Technologies at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace. This event will be highlighted by the comedy of Craig Shoemaker. Named Comedian of the Year by the American Comedy Awards on ABC, Shoemaker’s half-hour Comedy Central special has been voted by viewers as one of the network’s “Top 20” stand-up specials of all time. The comedian has also appeared on the big screen including the box office hit Scream 2.
Happy’s Hour will also feature an autograph session with Harvick and an auction with items such as a Yankees jersey signed by the 2011 team, an electric guitar autographed by country music stars Alan Jackson, Chris Young and The Band Perry, a Phoenix International Raceway NASCAR Spring 2012 VIP Race Weekend Package for four, an electric guitar signed by the members of the band Lifehouse, Harvick race-used memorabilia including a firesuit, shoes, gloves and much more.
Individual tickets for Happy’s Hour are $75 and available at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace Box Office, www.Vallitix.com or charge by phone: 661-328-7560.
