MARTINSVILLE ROUND TWO: Four-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion driver Ron Hornaday will make his 19th-career start at Martinsville Speedway this weekend. In 18 previous starts at the 0.526-mile track, Hornaday has collected one win (Oct. 2010), one pole (Oct. 2008), nine top-five and 12 top-10 finishes. The Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) driver has completed 3,963 of the 4,124 laps run (96.1%) since his first race at Martinsville in 1995.

STEAK-UMM STEAKS: The No. 33 KHI Chevrolet will once again partner with the Quaker Maid Meats brand Steak-umm at Martinsville Speedway. Most recently on track at Nashville Superspeedway in April, the No. 33 rebounded for the “Philly Cheese Steak” brand with a fourth-place finish after making their debut with KHI at the season opener at Daytona International Speedway in February. The team was caught up in the infamous “Big One” on lap 76 and was relegated to a 28th-place finish.

VIP ON BOARD: On October 3, Quaker Maid Meat held a drawing for all of its employees for a special prize package that included a behind the scenes weekend with KHI at Martinsville Speedway. Chastity Baker was the lucky grand prize winner. Baker, who hails from Bethel, Penn. is an avid NASCAR fan and has attended many races with her family and is excited for the race.

CHASSIS HISTORY: The No. 33 Steak-umm Chevrolet team will unload chassis No. 058 this weekend at Martinsville. Chassis No. 058 was most recently raced at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in September where Hornaday qualified for the event in the fifth position and finished fourth. The chassis was also used at Nashville Superspeedway in July, Kansas Speedway in June and Charlotte Motor Speedway in May.

PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: The No. 2 Bad Boy Buggies team entered Talladega Superspeedway last Saturday afternoon ready to capture their third straight victory with Hornaday behind the wheel. The team pushed teammate Mike Wallace across the finish line to capture the ninth victory for this season with Hornaday coming in second. The runner-up finish moves the veteran driver up five points in the Driver’s Point standings, only 16 markers from the lead, and increases the No. 2 team’s lead in the Owner’s Point standings to 81 points over the second-place team with three races remaining in the season.

MOST POPULAR DRIVER: Only a few weeks remain before the voting polls close for the 2011 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Most Popular Driver award. Hornaday has taken home the honors twice, most recently in 2005 and 1997. Fans can vote for Hornaday now through November 17 on NASCAR.com.

THOUGHTS FROM THE DRIVER: Ron Hornaday
What are your expectations going into the race at Martinsville?
“Martinsville is always a fun track to race. You race in such close quarters and track position is very important. This championship battle is really heating up and with three races to go, it’s important to drive smart and make good decisions. I’ve been in this hot seat before and I really think this team can come together and pull off a victory.”
