KERNERSVILLE, N.C. (July 26, 2010) — Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) announced today that Moore’s Marinade will sponsor the No. 2 KHI Truck Series entry for two races in 2010. Moore’s will make its sponsorship debut at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway on August 7th, followed by the October 30th race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway. NASCAR veteran Ken Schrader is slated to drive for both events. Schrader has made three starts for KHI in 2010, all of which have resulted in top-10 finishes.
Moore’s Marinade, which was introduced at an Alabama steakhouse 40 years ago, now has expanded to include two marinades, (Original and Teriyaki) and three wing sauces (Buffalo, Honey BBQ and Asian Teriyaki).
The two Truck Series races will be the Birmingham, Alabama-based company’s first foray into NASCAR.
“We are very excited to begin a relationship with Kevin Harvick Inc.,” said Elaine Lyda, public relations for Moore’s Marinade. “Moore’s Marinade is a local Alabama company that is growing quickly, and we are proud to be teaming up with KHI and the Truck Series. We’re really looking forward to everything we can accomplish through a racing program.”
KHI co-owner and driver Kevin Harvick echoed the company’s sentiments. “We are always very excited to bring a new sponsor on board at KHI, and it’s even more exciting when we can bring a new company into the sport. I know that our team will provide them with an excellent experience, both on and off the track.”
The No. 2 Moore’s Marinade Chevrolet Silverado will hit the track for the first time in the Nashville 200 at Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday, August 7th at 8:30 p.m. ET.
About Moore’s Marinade
Over 40 years ago, Moore’s Marinade was introduced at a steakhouse in a small Alabama town of Jasper, just north of Birmingham. In 1991, C&M Food Distributing Inc., which is a subsidiary of Fenwick Capital, purchased Moore’s Marinade and introduced the product to the grocery industry. This unique hickory flavor marinade, with a delightfully flavorful taste, quickly became well known throughout Alabama and the South. Due to the popular demand for the Original Hickory flavor C&M decided a complement was needed. In 2004 Teriyaki Marinade and the Buffalo Wing sauce was launched. In 2008 the Honey BBQ Wing and the Asian Teriyaki Wing Sauces were added. All Moore’s flavors are gluten free except the Asian Teriyaki Wing Sauce. All sauces are available in 16 oz. bottles and gallons.
Moore’s has added production capacity to serve supermarkets throughout the United States. Moore’s is strategically developing partnerships throughout the country to further develop the Moore’s brand and make it a common name in every household. All Moore’s Marinade’s recipes are family made with the highest quality ingredients around that enhance food flavors instead of covering them. Moore’s Marinade has won television, radio, billboard, and cook-off awards for being one of the most versatile marinades available.
