HARVICK AT CHARLOTTE: Kevin Harvick has yet to win a NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He’s come close, finishing in the runner-up spot in the fall of 2012, and in his 25 NXS starts at the 1.5-mile quad- oval, the two-time NXS champion has led 282 laps and earned two poles, seven top-five and 16 top-10 finishes.
TOP-FIVE RECORD UP FOR GRABS: Harvick is chasing a milestone. With one more top five, he will tie Kyle Busch for the most all-time top-five NXS finishes at 175.
CHASSIS SELECTION: The No. 88 team will unload with chassis No. 866 this weekend. Harvick has never finished outside of the top five with the car, earning one win (Chicago, September 2014) and one pole (Texas, April 2014). The chassis has been raced nine times, most recently with Dale Earnhardt Jr. when he drove it to a third-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway in April.
HUNT BROTHERS PIZZA: Harvick will be attempting to earn the first NXS victory for Hunt Brothers Pizza (HBP) this weekend. The No. 88 Chevrolet Camaro will sport the HBP colors for the third of five races in 2015.
JRM FAN DAY: JRM will be hosting its annual Fan Day at the Mooresville, N.C. headquarters on Friday, May 22. The event will be headlined by two autograph sessions and all four drivers of the No. 88 “All-Star” car will be participating. The first autograph session will be from 11 a.m. – noon and feature Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kasey Kahne. The second session will be from 2 – 3 p.m. and feature Harvick and Ben Rhodes.
