Two-time Nationwide Series champion Kevin Harvick and Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches have announced a 10-race agreement for the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series season. Harvick will race the No. 33 Chevrolet, owned by Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI), with Jimmy John’s as the primary sponsor in several high-profile races including the Camping World 300 at Daytona (FL) International Speedway on February 14th and the O’Reilly Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway on November 7th.
“Jimmy John’s is known for our freaky fast sandwich delivery and Kevin Harvick is just as obsessed with speed,” said James North, president of Jimmy John’s. “We look forward to watching the No. 33 car fly through the competition like a Turkey Tom on its way out the door for delivery.”
Harvick is coming off a successful 2008 campaign having finished fourth in the Sprint Cup Series standings and seventh in the Owner’s point standings with the No. 33 Nationwide Series entry and is poised for success in 2009. Jimmy John’s also had a successful 2008, adding 182 stores over the course of the year to earn the title of fastest growing QSR in the country.
