Week 17

I can’t believe I’m 17 weeks into my first pregnancy!  The last four months have gone by so quickly, and I’m sure the next five will feel like someone hit the turbo boosters. 

There’s a lot to do to prepare for the arrival of our little bundle of joy… But I’ve purposefully put some things on hold until Kevin and I knew if we were having a girl or a boy.  Fortunately, I can start to pick out things for the nursery, register for gender specific items and focus on names because we found out today that we’re having a BOY!!! 

I’ve been very lucky so far.  I’ve had no morning sickness, I haven’t experienced any crazy cravings and I’m still able to fit into my clothes.  I swear when I open my closet each morning I feel like it’s a box of chocolates and I’m Forest Gump – I never know what I’m going to get! 

I can’t tell you how overwhelmed Kevin and I have been by all the well wishes from fans.  In all honesty, we didn’t realize this new chapter in our lives would be surrounded by such a buzz.  From the time Kevin made the announcement the support and interest has been overwhelming (in a good way). 

In order to keep Kevin’s fans up to date with Baby Harvick, I’ve decided to do a weekly baby blog.  I’ve never done a blog before; much less a baby blog because, well, I’ve never been pregnant before, so I’m not sure how all this will go.  But, I’m glad to have the company as I navigate through uncharted territory!
